Tree buildings. We are building a tree house - a dream come true and a favorite vacation spot. How to make a smart project

A treehouse is a dream not only for all children, but also for many adults! If you have a dacha or a house in the village where a suitable tree grows, this dream can be made a reality. We have already discussed how to prepare for construction: choose a tree and building materials. Now we will plan the house and discuss the main points of construction and decoration.

DIY treehouse: planning

Before starting work, you need to clearly imagine what you want to get in the end. It also depends on how much material to purchase and how beautiful and safe the design will turn out. It would be ideal to make a 3D model of the future building. If you don't have computer planners, build a model out of cardboard or have a designer do it. At least draw it. The best way is to take a picture of the tree from four sides and print it on a large format. By drawing a house on top of a tree shot, you will immediately understand which places are problematic for you.

Supports can be tricky. Support poles or piles will help take the extra load off the tree and protect it from strong swaying in the wind. The downside is that they occupy a large area under the tree. There are two more options for supports: on bolts to a tree and suspension on cables. But both of them are not so safe and do more harm to the tree.

How will you get into the house? The ladder can be a rope (rope + plank), ordinary attached or classic. Classic, especially if with a railing, is the safest, but with it the house loses some of the romance. Refuse the pieces of wood nailed to the trunk as steps - this is the most dangerous option.

The strategy regarding branches should also be thought out in advance. You can saw them off, you can build around them, or you can make windows where the branches pass, whatever you like. Just remember to leave some room around the trunk and branches for the tree to grow.

Take note: for the descent from a low house, you can adapt a children's slide - this is both fun and safe.

Building a tree house

When all the necessary materials and tools are at hand, you can start building. First you need to build a base (platform) and supports. If necessary, it is better to concrete the supporting pillars. After the walls are erected, then the roof and, the last stage is the exterior decoration. The principle of any construction is observed here: first, large frame elements, and then smaller ones that are attached to them.

Some structural elements may be more convenient to assemble on the ground, and then attach to the frame. When working, try not to damage the tree: the durability of the house also depends on its lifespan.

Before moving on to painting and decorating, seal the cracks in the walls and roof with a sealant (preferably based on resin), then it will be possible to hide from the rain in the house and store any things.

Arrange the interior space so that it is comfortable there. To have somewhere to sit, light garden furniture or just plastic chairs and a table are suitable. You can put a rubber mattress on the floor, and make tarpaulin curtains on the windows. And if you have built a house in all seriousness, you can even organize a recreation area or a bedroom there.

It will be interesting to build a house in a certain style. For example, a pirate ship or Robin Hood's hideout. Then the interior arrangement should also correspond to the theme.

Make building a house an event for the whole family! Call relatives and friends, in such a case, extra hands will not hurt. And let's also participate in planning and building for children: this will give them joy and useful skills!

As children, each of us tried to build a separate housing for ourselves - a toy house. Despite the simplicity of the design, it was the best shelter for games.

A shaky structure made of a box, cardboard or branches in the form of a hut bore the proud name of a house and seemed to be the best.

Having matured, we think about creating a more durable and functional house for children.

Most often, a children's playhouse is built from wood. The choice of material for the house is due to rational considerations - wood is an environmentally friendly and durable material. A small house made of coniferous wood will have a positive effect on the health of the child. In addition, it will enable the child to feel independent. Having built a full-fledged developing house for the baby, you will provide him with his own play area, where he can play in it in any weather.

For parents, the main thing is that it be safe, inexpensive and fit into the general style of a summer cottage or country plot. Another advantage of the house is that it can be used as an outbuilding, so to speak, a beautiful shed for storing garden tools, unnecessary things or firewood.

How to make a children's house out of wood

As part of this article, step-by-step instructions will be described on how to build a children's wooden house with your own hands.

1. Ideas for a children's house

First, think about how the house will look like, what type, type and dimensions will be. To do this, you need to define:

  • Type. Open or closed;
  • Dimensions. Occupied area and height;
  • Place of installation / location. A house installed on the ground and on a tree have a different principle of constructive device;
  • The material from which the building will be made;
  • Availability of windows, doors and material for them;
  • The presence of additional components - extensions, a fence (fencing), a terrace, a slide, a sandbox, a swing, a ladder.
  • The presence of interior decoration.

Pictures of a house for children

The photo below shows how to make a children's wigwam for Indians, a hut for Robinsons and a yurt for nomads from wood, fabric, branches and shrubs.

A hut for fairy-tale heroes and forest dwellers.

A pirate frigate for young robbers and a sailing schooner for cheerful sailors.

When developing a plan for a house, it is worth considering the following:

  • mobility or stationarity. Both the size of the house and the technology of its construction will depend on this;
  • At least two windows are required. First, it's lighting. Secondly, the hut must be clearly visible for control;
  • the height of windows from the floor should be 500-600 mm;
  • door height. At 200-300 mm. taller than a child. But it is better to make them to the ceiling, because sooner or later you will be invited to the house;
  • walls. Must be smooth to prevent injury;
  • roof. In no case should it be flat. In order not to attract the child to climb on it.

You can sketch your own sketch or use ready-made drawings. The schematic drawings below show projects of children's houses that you can build with your own hands.

The scheme of the children's house with all the indicated dimensions will help to properly prepare materials for construction.

3. Tool and material for manufacturing

Tool:

  • hacksaw;
  • plane;
  • roulette;
  • chisel;
  • metal corner;
  • building level;
  • drill;
  • screwdriver or hammer and nails;
  • sandpaper (for sanding wood);
  • brushes and paint for painting the house or any finishing material such as lining or siding.

Material:

  • beam for the manufacture of the frame. Recommended section 50x50;
  • lumber for sheathing. Boards or timber will create a beautiful house;
  • plywood (thickness not less than 8 mm) or OSB for sheathing. Cheaper, but also less durable material that requires additional processing;
  • roofing material;
  • brick;
  • glass for windows (if necessary and only for children over 7 years old, and even then in doubt - it is better to exclude any presence of glass).

4. Building a wooden children's house with your own hands

4.1 Foundation

Of course, a strong foundation for a children's playhouse made of wood should not be poured. But here to take out the soil with a depth of 80-100 mm. and lay out a brick over the entire area of \u200b\u200bthe building does not fit. So the hut will last much longer.

Alternatively, a deck board can be used. But its acquisition is very costly.

The most budgetary and fastest option is to make a foundation of several bricks and a timber strapping installed on it. This approach to the foundation device is usually used in greenhouses.

4.2 Floor for the house

It is better to equip the floor according to all the rules of the genre. Namely, lay the logs and stuff the floorboard on them. Or lay OSB or plywood in two layers, so that the next layer overlaps the seams of the previous one.

4.3 Walls and frame of the children's house

Holes are dug in the corners of the foundation for the installation of timber. This is a wall support. Before placing the timber in the ground, it must be processed. Additionally, a bar is also installed in the places where windows and doors are installed. For rigidity, the frame bars can be fastened together with a metal corner. Next, the frame is sewn up with boards or plywood.

A wooden children's house, the drawing of which is given below, can only be built with the installation of supports.

For an ordinary house, there is an easier option - knock down the shields from the boards. And fill a bar along their perimeter. Then knock down wooden shields among themselves.

The material was prepared for the site www.site

4.4 Roof for a children's house

The roof device begins with the manufacture of gables. For them, the same timber is used as for the frame. Two triangles are installed on opposite walls. If necessary, several more are installed between them.

A beam is stuffed between them. One or more depends on what the roof will be covered with.

Or we knock them into a shield, which will then be attached to the gables.

The bottom line is the difference in ease of use. One slope or two, the main thing is that the roof is not used by the child as a playground. If the boards fit well, it is enough to treat them with an antiseptic and paint.

5. Finishing a children's house made of wood

In order to please you with a wooden house for children made with your own hands, you need to take care of protecting the wood for as long as possible. To do this, it must be treated with solutions against bugs and decay. And then open with stain, varnish or paint.

Install benches inside the house or make a table and chairs of appropriate sizes.

6. Baby house safety

Separately, I want to focus on how to make the house safe. For this you need:

  • choose a flat area for the installation of the house. Or a reliable tree;
  • check the quality of wood processing. Mechanical to prevent splinters from entering. And antiseptic - wood should be environmentally friendly;
  • screw the screws correctly;
  • for roofing it is better to use soft materials or polycarbonate. Because, for example, metal tiles have sharp edges and can cause injury.

Treehouse for kids

If you have already grown from a small children's house on the ground, then it's time to move higher, for example, to the crown of a tree (canopy, uvei, i.e. the upper / middle branched part of the tree). In addition, we will describe how to make a tree house for children with your own hands.

1. Tree selection

Pay attention to the crown of the tree, the trunk, the location of the branches, the age of the tree and its size. Coniferous trees are not very suitable for this kind of construction, since the needles let in little light.

In addition, it is important to remember that as it grows, the tree will change its shape. Therefore, build on the lower branches or try to take this fact into account.

2. Choice of design option (shape)

It is necessary to work out the idea, again, taking into account the configuration of the tree.

A schematic drawing with dimensions will help you develop your project and imagine what the finished product will look like.

4. Installation of the house

All work on the construction of the walls and roof of the house is best done on the ground. But, the device of the floor - supports, belongs to the category of high-altitude work.

To make a floor in a house on branches, you need to install a platform that will be the basis of the whole structure. It can be supported by additional supports placed on the ground, or by supports placed on the trunk of a tree.

Fixing the platform on the trunk will allow you to adjust its height over time.

5. Finishing work

Installing a ladder is a mandatory step in building a treehouse. The ladder can be wooden or rope. The first one is more reliable. In addition to the stairs for the house, you can fix a rope along which the descent will be faster.

6. Security

  • comfortable stairs (straight, spiral), preferably with railings;
  • the optimal height of the house. Preferably up to 3 meters;
  • a reliable platform, necessarily fenced with walls or handrails;
  • the technology for building a children's wooden treehouse does not provide for nailing. It is safer to use bolts and nuts;
  • In addition, the wood and all connections of the house must be periodically checked and tightened.

Conclusion

As you can see, making a wooden house for children with your own hands is not difficult. In fact, according to the same principle of modules, wooden houses for a playground are made, and even cardboard houses for playing in an apartment.

Wooden children's houses - photos and pictures for ideas

A house built on a tree is able to please any child, filling his life with new, hitherto unseen sensations and emotions. This is a real dream, which almost every parent is able to make a reality. It is about how to independently design a tree house that we will talk in the framework of this material.

Choosing a tree

Before moving on to building a house with your own hands, you should decide on the choice of a suitable tree. This process is quite responsible, so you should approach it with all seriousness.

Particular attention should be paid to the thickness of the trunk and the development of the root system - it is important that the tree withstand the load placed on it. If possible, you should give preference to maple, ash or oak - these trees have a strong wood structure and are able to resist even significant stresses. Immediately it is worth getting rid of dry and old branches - they can harm not only the child, but also the structure being built. The optimal building height is 1.5 - 2 m. Higher can be dangerous for the baby and his games. And the crown under the gusts of wind can sway quite significantly, which also will not give the structure additional stability and reliability.

Tool preparation

To make a tree house, you will need the following set of tools:

  • Hacksaw;
  • Electric drill;
  • Plane;
  • wrench type;
  • Measuring devices;
  • Construction level;
  • Hammer;
  • Sandpaper.

We form the frame

Let's start building a tree house. To begin with, we attach the rail to the branches, about 30 cm below the level of the future floor. For the evenness of the installation, we use the building level. In the branches directly above the rail, we drill holes with a cross section of 10 mm. We install exactly the same rail on the second side, making sure that it is strictly horizontal and in the same plane with the first.

We also drill holes, after which we remove the rails. We measure the distance between the holes, after which we subtract the obtained value from 4 m and divide the result in half. The final value is set aside from the edge of the board 50x250 mm. In the middle of the distance obtained, we drill a hole of 16 mm. We drill the second, setting aside from the first the gap that exists between the holes in the tree. We drill the same holes in each of the prepared boards.

Using a hacksaw, we make grooves in the boards between the holes - later spacers will be mounted in them, fixing the support beams at the required distance in relation to each other and a certain distance from the branches. Support-type beams should not be fixed close to the branches - there should be some space left to allow them to grow, swaying, within reasonable natural limits, from gusts of incoming wind.

The beams are attached to the branches by means of an adjustable wrench and screws, after which spacers are installed in their place.

Arrangement of flooring

First you need to cut the boards to the required length. The gap between the laid boards should be about 1 cm, which will provide the required drainage. Two boards 50x150 mm should be cut along the length of the flooring, 4 more boards should be made a little shorter, about 100 mm.

Using 75 mm screws, 4 short boards should be fixed to one long board, 50x150 mm in size. They should be installed perpendicular to it, approximately at an equal distance, making sure that the formed frame can be put on the branches above the support beams. After laying, the frame should be leveled and fixed with ropes to the support beams.

By screwing the second long board to the frame, we get a square formation platform.

Using steel plates, we fix the platform on the support beams, put special fasteners in the corners.

We mount the supports, cutting off one of the sides at an angle of 45 degrees. Board - 50x100 mm. They should be placed overlapping, fixing them on the branches with 200 mm screws using a special key.

Having risen to the platform, we fix the flooring. It is important here to make gaps in the boards through which the branches will pass. The distance between them and the board should be about 20-50 mm.

Landing, stairs and roof

We continue to equip the tree house - we make a landing. In each of the corners we put a rack from a board 50x100 mm, 1 m high. We fasten the railing to it with screws - the bar is the same. We cut the corners at an angle of 45 degrees. We close the space under the railing with plywood, plank boards or other material.

As a ladder, you can use its rope version or something like a climbing wall - we set two beams at an angle and nail the boards close to them. You can use specialized hooks or simply cut out the steps with a router or a conventional saw.

To equip the roof, at a height of about 2 m, screw 2 hooks into the branches, stretch a cable between them and throw a tarpaulin over it. To increase the lower edge of the formed roof, additional supports can be placed on the railing.

As you can see, building such a house for children is not so difficult. The main thing is to clearly follow the instructions above and take your time, while observing the basic safety requirements - the final result is guaranteed to please your baby.

And in this video, a real residential tree house is being built.

Many parents ask how to build a tree house for children, what kind of tree should be for building, materials and tools, what will be needed for work.

A tree house for children should first of all be safe. This means that its height above the ground should not exceed a certain value, and the thickness of the trunk should not be less than 30 cm in diameter.

The process of building a simple tree house

It must have a railing. And besides this, when making a tree house, you need to take into account many more different factors:

Choosing a tree to build

If you decide to make a treehouse with your own hands, then first you need to find a suitable place to build it. There are a number of criteria to consider when choosing. These include:

  • the composition of the soil around the tree;
  • type (species) of wood;
  • his age;
  • state of branches and trunk;
  • crown volume.

Now let's take a closer look at each of the selection parameters. The base for the construction should be on normal, not sandy soil. Otherwise, the trunk will fall under the additional weight that the tree house will create.

An example of a tree with a built children's house

The type of wood greatly influences the choice. Pine, like other conifers, is best excluded immediately. Sharp needles can injure a child, and a resinous trunk will create a lot of problems with washing clothes and washing children. Linden has too soft wood, while poplar, willow and chestnut have weak root systems. Therefore, a do-it-yourself tree house is most often erected on oak or maple. They have not only solid wood, but also a branched crown, convenient for installing a platform.

From fruit trees, in order to establish a small house, an apple tree is suitable. But it is only suitable for babies, its branches may not withstand adults.

The tree chosen for construction should not be young and old. And the more branches there are, the better the result will be. Note that the thickness of the branches on which the treehouse for kids will be mounted should not be less than 20 cm.

Scheme with dimensions and layout of a children's treehouse

If there are dry branches near the building, they must be removed. If children happen to lean on them while playing, they may fall when the dry wood breaks under their weight. The volume of the crown is also important. The larger it is, the more points there will be for fixing structural elements.

Project drawing

Before starting work and before the materials needed to build a tree house are purchased, it is necessary. It takes into account all the elements, draws up the dimensions and calibrates the proportions.

Children must be involved in the work on the project. After all, they are future tenants, and their opinion must be taken into account. As a result, the home master will be able to create a magical place for games and entertainment. The first step is to make a sketch. To do this, the future house is drawn on plain paper, without dimensions and proportions.

tree house drawing

Having agreed on the design, they begin to make real drawings. In them, the structure is drawn to scale, indicating all the data and exact numbers.
The scheme must be made in at least three projections - front view, bottom view and side view. It will be good if the master draws a separate drawing for each side. It is better to draw on graph paper, it has ready-made guides. To work on the project you will need:

  • drawing pencil;
  • ruler;
  • square;
  • washing gum.

It is better if there are two types of pencils, with hard and soft rods. The sketch is made first, and the contour is already drawn second. The scheme will help not only in work, but also in the preparation of materials. The master will be able to calculate their number so as not to spend extra money.

Choosing tools and materials

Traditionally, a children's tree house is made from dried and pre-prepared wood. The frame is made of timber with a cross section of at least 5 cm, boards are used for the floor, and the walls can be sheathed with plywood sheets or the same boards. For the roof, plywood is used, on top of which a soft roof is laid, imitating tiles, as in a real fairy-tale house.

Pine board is used as the main material. It is affordable and easy to process. And with high-quality processing and drying, this type of wood can serve small owners for more than one year.

Metal corners and brackets are used as fasteners, and all elements are fixed with self-tapping screws and bolts with nuts and washers. A do-it-yourself tree house requires a certain set of tools. The master will need:

Tree house design option
  • hacksaw or jigsaw;
  • hammer;
  • drill;
  • screwdriver;
  • pliers.

In the work, the master will also need measuring tools, such as:

  • level;
  • plumb;
  • roulette;
  • drawing pencil;
  • square.

Summer is coming - it's time when the kids will run around the streets for days on end and come up with "headquarters" for themselves. Hide from your parents to whisper, eat ice cream, look around the neighborhood. The ideal solution is a houselocated right on a tree. The task of building such a house is responsible, but feasible even for those who are far from engineering. We will tell you how to build a tree house with your own hands, spending a minimum of time and money. In this article, we will analyze the whole process step by step - from the idea to the final touches.

By the way! It is believed that such huts are a chance exclusively for owners of private housing, and for such luxury you need your own land. However, there are examples when such ideas were embodied in the courtyard of an ordinary apartment complex or in a public park. The main thing is to create a team of like-minded people.

We choose the right tree. We are looking for an adult, but not too old, preferably straight.

We remove dry, diseased branches, as well as low-growing shoots, putty saw cuts, and paint on top.

Important! The bark can only be cut to half the depth, otherwise we risk destroying the tree.

Study the shape, direction of the crown. When we build a tree house, we take into account its possible changes over time. You can take several photographs from different angles, sketch a diagram of the future structure directly on them. Think about how the child will climb up, calculate the safe height. From experience, the most comfortable feeling for children is to rise a head or two above parental height. For very young children, a structure that rises no more than a meter and a half above the ground is more suitable.

For construction, you will need tools and building materials.

Important! When designing a small cozy space, try to choose lightweight materials whenever possible to reduce stress.

In this matter, a lot depends on the project, especially on the method of attaching the platform. Consider the options below when describing the construction of a tree house.

Here is a universal list of tools that we will need:

  • jigsaw;
  • plane;
  • chisel;
  • saw;
  • hammer;
  • wrench;
  • drill;
  • screwdriver;
  • jigsaw;
  • fasteners: screws, nails, corners, anchor bolts;
  • level;
  • roulette;
  • ladder;
  • gloves, overalls.

Building materials from wood

For a medium-sized house, you will need something like this set:

  • two boards measuring 5 * 25 cm - load-bearing beams;
  • six boards measuring 5 * 15 cm - a frame under the base of the floor;

Based on the preferred type of support:

  • two boards measuring 5 * 10 cm, 4 meters long - inclined supporting elements for the supporting structure;
  • logs with a section of 20 cm or more (approximately 1 meter longer than the distance from the ground to the base of the platform, the number depends on the project).

Please note! The calculation of materials is given approximate, check with your project the quantity and dimensions. Keep in mind how many children, according to your calculations, will be able to be in the house at the same time.

Determine the main support for the structure

There are two options:

  1. Piles in the ground (the most careful choice in relation to the tree, which also provides additional security. Do not forget that our house, located on a tree, will be crazy popular with children and will undergo serious stress);
  2. Diagonal supports in the body of a tree (we use it mainly when it bifurcates from the ground, and you are absolutely sure of its reliability and strength).

We build piles

In the event that we have given preference to the construction on piles, we first make them.

Important! Before starting work, we treat boards, timber, plywood with a special antiseptic composition that protects wood from decay, as well as a fire retardant. Dry in the sun. Piles in places that go into the ground are additionally covered with bituminous mastic, grease or impregnated with oil mining.

On the trunks of the fork, we mark the points of attachment of the beams of the supporting supports (at the same height from the ground) and indicate the position of the platform by measuring the distance between these points. We draw a perpendicular to the ground from the corners of the base and mark the points obtained with pegs. We dig holes for the supporting beams in such a way that an indent is formed on each side of the platform of the house by approximately 1/3 of the entire length of the floor.

The optimal depth of each hole is 1.2-1.4 meters, the diameter is 25-30 cm. We lay sand about 10 cm from the bottom, and crushed stone another 10 cm. After lowering our beams inward, it is imperative to level them and make temporary fortifications using wooden spacers or cinder blocks for this. Piles must be exactly vertical.

By the way! Often a tree trunk is used as one of the bearing supports, which significantly saves time, effort, material, and adds naturalness to the appearance.

We fill the pits with cement, let it dry well, after which we remove the temporary spacers and proceed to the next step.

We mount the platform

If we decide that the tree itself will serve as one of the supports, the method of mounting the box will be quite simple. The beam raised to the frame of our house is fastened with two ends to the piles, in the center - to the tree trunk. We do the same with the beam on the other side, align the fixed beams according to the level, and fill the remaining beams perpendicularly from above, observing a step of about 50 cm. We also connect all the elements with metal plates.

In the case when we use only piles for support, the process will be slightly different. First you need to build a box of timber, which we will cut to the length we need for this. Attach the supporting bars of the box along the perimeter of its lower part. We align each element horizontally, raising it to the floor level.

Please note that the process of creating the "foundation" of the house requires scrupulousness and frequent use of the level, the design must be absolutely vertical. Then we fasten both ends to the inner side of the pillars with 15-20 cm bolts (we use long ones, since fastening with many short bolts will destroy the structure of a living tree). Ready. Now we reinforce the strapping with metal plates in the corners.

Inside the manufactured box, we fill in parallel additional bars at a distance of 20-30 cm from each other. From below we strengthen our frame with two boards, which we place across on both sides of the trunk. We additionally strengthen the internal connections with metal plates on bolts.

Please note! When the branches of the tree sway, they set the foundation of the house in motion, gradually destroying it. To avoid this, use a sliding fastening of the beams to the tree. Using a drill and a jigsaw, make a groove 10 cm long, after marking the center.

If we fix the frame only on a tree

At a distance of 30 cm below the floor level, we nail two beams on both sides of the trunk. We mount the remaining bars perpendicularly on them, maintain a distance of 50-70 cm, connect the ends with thick strong boards. It turns out a rectangle located horizontally, which must be strengthened with additional spacers. To do this, the frame is supported by inclined beams of the same section. At the attachment points to the base of the platform, we cut the boards at an angle of 45 degrees. The lower edges of the supports are brought into the trunk, where they are fixed, having previously been connected to each other, while the upper ends rest against the extreme bars of the frame.

By the way! At this stage, it is possible, by climbing onto the frame, to build a rope lifting mechanism. It will definitely come in handy for further construction, and for children's games later.

We lay the floor

For fencing elements, roofing and flooring, it is best to use lightweight materials - various plywood options, chipboards.

The most difficult thing is to make the correct holes for the trunks. To do this, lay out the boards next to each other on the ground, measure the circumference of the branches and cut out the corresponding holes. Note that you need to leave a centimeter gap to the bark. Laying the boards on the frame, we make a distance of 2-3 cm between them, so that the water leaves. We use self-tapping screws and nails to fasten the flooring to the base.

Tree houses require a responsible approach in everything. After laying the floor, walk on it and make sure that it does not creak or stagger. If in doubt, it is better to correct, strengthen, because we are talking about the safety of children.

Building walls

Strong and durable walls are installed on the frame, like the floor. You can take a beam with a section of 50 * 50 mm, cut to the height you need. We fasten it with anchor bolts to the protrusions of the support beams of each corner of the "foundation". We retreat 40-50 cm from the corner posts and at this distance we place intermediate posts, fixing them on the outside of the frame base.

Attention! Fastening racks directly to the floor is extremely unreliable, avoid this method of mounting.

We supply all racks from below with spacers and ennoble the appearance by sheathing with boards or plywood. Often, tree houses are treated with resin-based sealants, laying it in the cracks on the walls and roof. This will save the structure from the penetration of excessive moisture, wind, cold air.

Optionally, choose the number and shape of windows.

We install the roof

The lightest and most easily feasible roof is a canopy. Two meters up from the walls, we are looking for two good strong branches into which two hooks must be screwed. We stretch a cable or rope between them, we throw a large piece of tarpaulin through it. In the corners and around the perimeter we stretch and fasten the fabric.

How to make a treehouse with a real serious roof? It's a little more complicated and time consuming, but it will look very profitable. It will be necessary to build a reinforcement from a bar, which is installed on top of the corner posts, fixing along the edges. Then we assemble two truss trusses, to connect them we use two wide boards (we attach them to the upper corner of the rafters), and install them above the walls opposite each other. We put lightweight material on top - ondulin, corrugated board, polycarbonate - to your taste.

Choosing a ladder

There are options here too. Moreover, tree houses often have several stairs at the same time. The most frequent interesting performances:

  • rope;
  • screw step;
  • slotted shield;
  • stairs made in the form of a small climbing wall with multi-colored hooks of funny shapes are especially popular;
  • the child will be delighted if he can climb into his shelter on a rope (be sure to take into account the height, age of the baby and his climbing skills).
