Ingredients:

- butter or thick sour cream - a little, to impregnate the strudel,
- icing sugar - for sprinkling.

We wash the apples in cold water, dry them with a towel, remove the peel from them, remove the middle with the seeds. Next, chop into thin slices and sprinkle with lemon juice so that they do not darken.




Sprinkle apples with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, stir.




Lay thin Armenian lavash on the table. It must be fresh, not dried, otherwise it may break during the folding process, and the dish will not work.
Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove (about 50 grams). Or we take fatty thick sour cream (ideally - rustic). Lubricate our cake.




Arrange sliced ​​apples. Along the circumference of the cake (or the perimeter, if it is rectangular), we leave 1 centimeter from the edges.






We sort out the walnut kernel, finely chop, three on a grater or crush with a press. Sprinkle the apple filling with chopped walnuts.

Traditionally, this delicacy is made from stretchy yeast or water dough, but to save time, you can replace it with thin Armenian bread.

Strudel: features of gourmet pastries

Translated from German, strudel means "whirlpool" or "funnel". Indeed, in the classic version, it is a sheet of dough filled with filling and rolled into a tight tube. But not every dessert that we mistakenly call a roll is a strudel.

How to make lazy apple strudel from pita bread

How much sugar to put in baking depends on the degree of sweetness of the fruit. The cookie crumb should absorb excess moisture from the juicy apple filling, and thereby prevent the cake from soaking, but you can not add it.

  1. You need to prepare the fruit: wash them, and then wipe them with a towel to remove moisture.
  2. Next, the fruits must be divided into quarters, remove the hard seed chambers along with the seeds, and then cut into large cubes.
  3. At this stage of cooking, you can already turn on the oven - let it warm up, and in the meantime we will finish cooking the filling.
  4. Put oil in a saucepan. When it melts over low heat, lay out the apple cubes, sprinkle them with freshly squeezed lemon juice and sprinkle with sugar.
  5. After stirring the contents of the saucepan, reduce the heat to almost a minimum, and simmer for about 5 minutes, not forgetting to stir. This must be done very carefully so that the apple cubes do not turn into porridge: they should soften, but remain intact.
  6. Gently mix the cooled filling, flavored with cinnamon.
  7. We spread one pita bread on the table and cover the inside with a raw egg and milk mash, and then sprinkle it with cookie crumbs.

8. Having folded one of the edges of the cake inward, spread the filling on the double base, and wrap it in pita bread to the opposite edge.

The outer side of the pita bread should also be lubricated with an egg: this will make the pastries more juicy and prevent drying when baking in the oven.

  1. We also fill the second sheet of thin unleavened bread with the filling, fold it, and put it on a baking sheet greased with butter (cow or vegetable, odorless).

Baking time at the lowest temperature is about 20 minutes. Before serving, hot dessert can be poured with melted butter on top, sprinkled with sweet powder, and cut into portions (1-2 centimeters thick).

This is a really lazy recipe! No hassle with either the dough or the filling, and in just 15 minutes you get a crispy strudel from the thinnest pita bread with a juicy apple filling. You don’t even have to preheat the oven, the strudel is fried in a pan in oil. You can, of course, bake it in the oven, and put various goodies in the filling, but this is if time allows. And when it is not there, use the simplest and fastest apple strudel recipe.
Apples for the filling need to be finely chopped, and a chopper will do an excellent job with this task. If it is not there, you still have to work a little or get a jar of apples prepared for pies from stocks.

Ingredients:

- Lavash sheets - 2 pieces (large, rectangular);
- apples - 10-12 pcs;
- sugar - to taste;
