How to open a locked chest in minecraft. How to private a chest in Minecraft and how to make it public

Then you know what a problem is the safety of things. The fact is that any player can come to your chest, open it and, while you do not see it, take all your things. Naturally, no one will like this, so on most servers it is possible to put a private - a kind of barrier that will not give any other players access to your things. This is the most effective way to protect your own property, and at the same time it is absolutely legal - the private commands are written for the console by the developers, you do not need to install any add-ons or modifications to use them. In this article, you will learn how to make a chest private in Minecraft so that only you can access it - and a limited number of characters, if you so desire.

Setting a private

If you want to learn in Minecraft, then you will need knowledge of commands for the console. Only with their help you can legally and reliably protect your items from extraneous encroachments. So, first of all, you need the cprivate command, which sets the private item of your choice. As you can see, it's a very simple process - select the item you want to privatize, open the console, enter the command, and you're done. Now only you have access to your chest - any other player will receive a message that he does not have access to this item and its contents.

However, do not rush to set private, because you can initially expand its impact. The fact is that you may want not only you, but also two of your friends to be able to look into the chest. To do this, after the command, you will need to register their nicknames through a space. And only then activate the command. Then they will be able to use the chest on an equal basis with you - only they will not be able to apply commands to it. Now you know, but you need to deal with a few more important points.

Removing a private

Private is not a permanent state, but it will persist until you cancel it yourself. Remember that only the person who set the private can remove it. Therefore, if you have learned how to lock a chest in Minecraft, then you should also learn how to undo this action. There are two commands that have a similar effect, but still function differently. The cpublic command keeps private, but adds all the players on the server to the list of those who can access the chest. And there is another command that allows you to remove a private completely - cremove. If you use it, then the chest will return to its original state, and everyone can use it. Use these commands with caution, as you are putting your property at serious risk.

So, you know, and the chest, as well as some other items in the game, but you can also set a password for them.

Setting a password

If it seems to you that private is not a suitable security measure for you, then you can use the cpassword command, after which you enter a certain combination that you will need to remember. Now, when another player wants to open a chest or door, he will be prompted to enter a password. Actually, now you can use two methods of how to lock a chest for two: set it private and specify your friend's nickname after the command, or set a password and tell the combination to a friend.

Private modification

Remember that you can only add players to private through the initial team when you set it. Later you will have to use another command - cmodify, after which you need to specify the nicknames of the players you want to give access to, separated by a space.

If you place chests in a region, they will automatically be privatized to you. Let's say you live with a friend and trust him completely: you help each other, and you share resources and chests. To add a person to a private chest, you need the /cmodify command.

/cmodify nickname - add a nickname to the private chest.

Did you screw up with the nickname you entered? It's okay, everyone makes mistakes. You just need to enter two commands in sequence.

/cremove - removes your private from the chest and removes all access to it.

/cprivate - puts your private on the chest.

I don't think with chests you'll need other commands. There is also access to chests with a password, but in practice almost no one uses it. I would also like to add that all of the above commands work not only with chests, but also with stoves, doors, and signs.

You may need another command. Often there are elevators on the warp, which are made with the help of tablets. The question arises: what to do if access needs to be given to all players? Of course, you can just private the signs, but this is not the best solution: other players can put their private there. This problem is easily solved by the /cpublic command.

/cpublic - puts a public private (everyone can use it, but only the owner can break it).

There are a couple of commands that give you information about private things: /cinfo and /climits.

/climits - number of private items.

/cinfo - view protection information (who owns it, who has access).

Well, as a bonus, you have another team /cdonation, which creates a private chest for donations. Any person can put resources into it, but only the owner can take it. The problem is that in regions, chests cannot be opened unless you are added to the region. The problem can be solved if you have a city: select the chest we need with a wooden hatchet, create a raft, add the build flag to this raft. It turns out that all players can use this raft, but it is occupied by a private chest.

Grieving in Minecraft is gaining momentum every day, because any player wants to reach the top with a minimum of effort and playing time. And some people just like to do dirty tricks. So sometimes you have to save your things in exotic ways. For example, you can make the chest private, in other words, no one can open your chest, and this is really very useful. Let's figure out how to lock a chest in Minecraft.

First, let's talk about how to protect your property from someone else's encroachment. Of course, if you're playing offline, you don't need to privatize the chests, as there's simply no one to loot. Therefore, this procedure is only required if you are playing online. But on some servers, the system itself will do all this for you, because recently it has become fashionable to add such scripts. Therefore, first find out from the administration about all the available opportunities for their project. If the server you like has only the normal Survival game mode, you will need commands that will “rescue” you from griefers and other unpleasant personalities. To do this, hover over the chest, open the chat and write one of them:
  • /cprivate. This is the main script that will close your chest from prying hands. Except you, no player will be able to open it and pick up the contents. Unlike a regular chest, it opens with the left, and not with the right button of the bear.
  • /lwc -c private. The command is completely similar to the previous one, it is needed only if you want to privateize your chest in the future.
  • /lwc -m nickname Allows you to add the right to access the chest to several players, if you specify their nicknames separated by commas.
  • /lwc -c public. The command that will make the chest public. Any gamer on the server will be able to rummage through your things, in addition, it will not be possible to close it again.
  • /lwc -c password [password]. With the help of this script, the chest can be closed with a code, but still this option is inferior to the full version. You can open such a chest by typing /cunlock [password] in the chat.
  • /cinfo. In this way, you can get information about whether the chest is locked or not.

In addition, it will be useful for you to learn how to grieve in the world of Minecraft, namely how to steal things from a locked chest. We will immediately warn you that this method will not work on many servers, you risk being detected by the administration and eventually getting banned. However, every player wants to feel like a real villain at least once. All you need for this: signs and a shovel or pickaxe. So, dig a hole in front of the chest in one block, and from it we dig under the casket, also one block. Now put the cube behind him and stick around with signs. On each of them in the second line write "1", the first should remain empty. Then click on the sign between the chest and the block - and you can safely pull out items.

And finally, I would like to add that fair play is much more pleasant, because you have achieved everything yourself. And if you start to engage in griefing, then most likely the server administration will simply delete your character, and all progress will be lost.
